Obtaining an SFSU Email/Internet Account

  1. Log onto http://www.sfsu.edu > click on Technology > click on Internet Account Services > click on Getting An Account > click on Internet Account
    OR
    just log onto https://www.sfsu.edu/online/accounts.htm

  2. The SFSU Internet Account Application will prompt you to enter the following information:
    • SFSU ID
    • Personal Access Code (PAC)
    • Password

  3. Click on the link below to generate your account.


  4. Your email/Internet account will be created

Using Your SFSU Email/Internet Account

    Log onto http://webmail.sfsu.edu
    The SFSU Webmail page will prompt you to enter the following information:
  • SFSU Account
  • Password
  • Inbox: Upon entering into your email account, you will see the Inbox and the messages stored in there.
  • Compose: This function allows you to write messages.
  • Folders: This function allows you to create different folders to organize and store your mail.
  • Options: This function allows you to manage your personal information, mail, and other options (i.e., displaying option, mail notification, etc.).
  • Search: This function allows you to locate messages.
  • Help: This function allows you to seek assistance for using webmail.
  • Address Book: This function allows you to store addresses of others.
  • Logout: This function allows you to sign off webmail when you’re done.
